American Heart Association 2019 Heart Walk

MOOSIC — The 2019 American Heart Association Heart Walk was held Saturday at PNC Field, with survivors, relatives and supporters turning out to raise funds to fight heart disease and stroke.
Among those participating were Duryea resident Eli Boomer and his family.
Eli was born in June 2017 with a congenital heart defect. He was diagnosed with tetralogy of fallot and also had an atrial septal defect. He successfully underwent surgery, and while Eli may need further surgeries later in life, he has grown into “a perfectly amazing, 22 month old boy,” his mother said.
