Families with CHD
Jack of Hearts-PA, Inc. was created by Donny and Lisa Scarfo, whose twin sons Jack and Nathan were born in 2008. Jack was prenatally diagnosed with a congenital heart defect called Tetralogy of Fallot.
Upon learning about their son’s CHD diagnosis, Jack’s parents realized very quickly that although heart defects are actually the number one birth defect, there are very limited support networks in place locally in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Their hope is that Jack of Hearts-PA, Inc. will help newly-diagnosed families bear that burden more easily, while connecting people in similar situations, and utilizing the resources they have become familiar with on this journey.
